Neeru Dhanda Wins Trap Gold, Secures India’s 5th Gold at Asian Games 2026
Indian shooter Neeru Dhanda clinched the women’s individual trap gold medal at the Asian Games 2026 on Tuesday, securing India’s fifth gold medal at the Aichi-Nagoya Games.
Dhanda topped both the qualification and final rounds, scoring 26 points in the eight-shooter final. China’s Sun Yunong and Kuwait’s Hajar Abdulmalik shared the silver medal with 21 points each.
Earlier, Dhanda had also helped India win silver in the women’s trap team event alongside Aashima Ahlawat and Manisha Keer. China won gold, while Kuwait secured bronze.
