Guwahati, August 04 (NKTV): Direct flight operations between Imphal and Shillong was flagged off on August 03 under the Regional Connectivity Scheme – Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik, RCS-UDAN.
It may be mentioned here that this is the first direct flight service between Imphal and Shillong.
Earlier, people had to take a 12-hour journey by road from Imphal or they had to take a flight to Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati followed by bus or cab service to Shillong.
