Guwahati Squad Announced for R. G. Baruah Trophy U-16 Cricket Tournament
The Guwahati Sports Association (GSA) has officially announced its 16-member Under-16 cricket squad, along with five standby players, for the upcoming R. G. Baruah Trophy (U-16) Inter District Cricket Tournament 2026.
Sameer Mahato has been named the captain to lead the Guwahati team, while Arjun Radha Bora will serve as the vice-captain for the tournament. The team features a balanced mix of young talent, including wicket-keepers Priyojit Chowdhury and Adrij Dutta.
The selected squad will travel to Goalpara to play their first and second matches of the tournament at the D.N. Singha Stadium. The first match is scheduled for July 16 and 17, 2026, followed by the second match on July 19 and 20, 2026.
The coaching and management setup will be spearheaded by Ashok Talukdar as the Coach, alongside Chanekya Sarma, who will take up the dual responsibility of Coach-cum-Manager.
