Guwahati Bar Assault Case: Excise Department Issues Show-Cause Notice to ‘The Local’s’
The Excise Department has issued a show-cause notice to ‘The Local’s’, a popular bar in Guwahati, following a violent assault incident on its premises last Thursday.
According to reports, the bar remained open until 3 AM in clear violation of stipulated closing hours. During this period, a young woman was reportedly stripped half-naked and brutally assaulted inside the establishment.
Prompt action by the police has already led to the arrest of eight individuals connected to the incident as investigations remain underway.
