Finance Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah Chairs Crucial Meet to Boost Revenue Collection & Curb GST Leakage
Assam Finance Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah today chaired a high-level review meeting with Taxation officials from all zones and units across the State at Kar Bhawan, Guwahati. The meeting was status-driven, aimed at assessing the overall GST collection and discussing strategic roadmaps to achieve the state’s targeted revenue collection.
During the session, the Minister thoroughly reviewed the overall performance of the Taxation Department. He urged all officers to intensify their efforts on the ground to plug tax leakages and significantly enhance GST compliance across Assam. Furthermore, he assured the officials of the State Government’s complete support in strengthening enforcement measures and upgrading revenue collection mechanisms.
The high-profile meeting was attended by the Commissioner of Taxes along with other senior officers of the Taxation Department.
