Fast-Track Court Hearing in Zubeen Garg Death Case Continues
The fast-track court hearing in the sensational Zubeen Garg case is continuing. Today, the court heard the bail petition of accused Shyamkanu Mahanta.
Due to an error in the affidavit filed by Siddhartha’s lawyer, the hearing for Siddhartha could not take place today. The court has directed the lawyer to submit a corrected affidavit within tomorrow.
In the first half of the hearing, senior advocate Pran Bora and VC-linked advocate Rajdeep Banerjee presented arguments on behalf of Shyamkanu Mahanta. The hearing is likely to conclude by evening. In the second half, the government pleader is expected to argue against the bail plea and also address the framing of charges against the accused.
