DRDO Employee Dies After Neighbour Allegedly Punches Him Over Misbehaviour Allegation

A 55-year-old personal assistant working with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) died after a neighbour allegedly punched him in the face following an argument over allegations of misbehaviour with a 23-year-old woman in Hyderabad.

The incident took place between 7:30 pm and 8 pm on Wednesday in a residential building in Chikkadapally. According to police, the deceased lived on the first floor of the building and allegedly went to the woman’s residence on the second floor, where he reportedly misbehaved with her.

The woman raised an alarm, following which the man allegedly fled the scene. A neighbour, who works as a gym trainer, later approached her after noticing that she was crying. Upon learning about the alleged incident, he confronted the 55-year-old man.

An argument broke out between the two, during which the gym trainer allegedly punched the man in the face. The man fell to the floor and sustained a head injury.

He was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead, police said.

Following the incident, Chikkadapally Police registered two separate cases. One case was filed based on a complaint by the deceased man’s wife, charging the gym trainer with culpable homicide not amounting to murder. A second case was registered against the deceased man based on the 23-year-old woman’s complaint regarding the alleged misbehaviour.

Police said both cases are under investigation.
