DPIIT Partners with Five Industry Leaders to Boost Indian Startup Ecosystem
The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has signed strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Cashfree Payments, Darwin Dynamics, Vultr India, Cars24, and the Council for Startup India (CSI). The initiative aims to lower financial and technological barriers, expand market access, and enhance mentorship for DPIIT-recognized startups—particularly in deep-tech, mobility, and underserved regional hubs.
Key Strategic Partnerships & Scope
- Cashfree Payments: Delivers digital payment and payout infrastructure, identity verification, and risk-management tools. The collaboration will offer startups commercial benefits alongside founder workshops, AI buildathons, and training on cross-border compliance and fraud prevention.
- Darwin Dynamics: Focuses on expanding entrepreneurship across Tier II, Tier III, and rural regions. It will run outreach drives, bootcamps, and investor-connect programs targeting youth, women, and first-generation founders in sectors like clean energy, green hydrogen, and climate tech.
- Vultr India: Provides cloud infrastructure support through cloud credits, discounted pricing, and technical training covering Kubernetes, application deployment, storage, and database management.
- Cars24: Drives innovation in mobility and automotive technology. Focuses on AI-driven autotech solutions, founder mentorship, road safety challenges, and direct investment evaluations for high-potential startups.
- Council for Startup India (CSI): Facilitates global market access, CFO matchmaking, governance training, and investor readiness programs to help startups scale internationally and navigate regulatory compliance.
