Conferences with DCs and SPs to be held every six months: CM

Guwahati, August 22 (NKTV): Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma today attended the first day of the two-day conference with the Deputy Commissioners of all districts of Assam at Diphu and discussed various issues regarding implementation of projects and preparing the development roadmap for the state.

Interacting with media persons, he said there will be conferences with DCs and SPs separately and jointly every six months which will be held outside Guwahati. In these two days in Diphu, lots of brainstormings and deliberations will be done for achieving speedy growth of the State, he informed.

The Chief Minister said that the present state government had decided to keep close contact with district administrations and as part of that initiative, SP conference was held in Kazirnga earlier and now the DC conference is held in Diphu.

Several Ministers, MLAs and key senior officials have also come to Diphu for taking part in the conference.

Earlier today, the Chief Minister inaugurated conference hall at Arboretum cum Craft Centre at Matipung, Diphu. He also inaugurated the new office building of Additional Director of Industries & Commerce at Diphu.
