Assam’s Cow Protection Bill | Is it right to kill Varaha, Matsya and Kurma Avatar, asks Abdul Khaleque
Guwahati, July 14 (NKTV): “I have no objection regarding the ban on cow slaughter. But at the same time, there is Varaha Avatar, there is Matsya Avatar and Kurma Avatar as well. Is it right to kill these avatars? I think there needs to be a debate on that” Congress MP from Barpeta Abdul Khaleque.
“There shall no sale of beef within 5km-radius of a temple, I would urge ban on sale of beef within 500 metres radius of a Maszid” he added.
He further said that it is not the case that a Muslim individual cannot survive without consuming beef but the CM’s initiative just before Bakri Eid is repugnant. “I would have appreciated the CM if he would have tabled a bill to ban alcohol in the state” he added.
