Assamese Actor Spandan Borthakur passes away due to Cardic Arrest

Assamese actor Spandan Borthakur passed away due to cardiac arrest in Tripura. He breathed his last on 20 March 2024, while he boarded the train in the evening at Dharmanagar.

His debut film was Astittwa, where he played the key character in a negative role and earned much appreciation. He also acted in nationally and internationally acclaimed hindi short film Sorry along with Ravi Sarma.
Apart from that he also worked in Himanshu Prasad Das’ Hanuman and Kenny Basumatary’s Local KungFu3. Both these films are under production.

He recently acted in a web series where he played AASU Advisor Samujjal Bhattacharya.

A graduate in Mathematics from Cotton College he was also a part of various NGOs and worked towards the environment and wildlife. He was also a corporate employee and represented major international apparel brands in the north east.
