Air India flight AI-2030, travelling from Frankfurt, Germany, to New Delhi with approximately 250 passengers on board, was diverted to Jaipur International Airport following an alleged onboard security threat.

The alert prompted Air Traffic Control (ATC) to activate emergency security protocols as the aircraft approached Indian airspace. After landing in Jaipur, the aircraft was moved to an isolated parking bay away from the main terminal.

Personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), local police and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) were deployed to secure the aircraft. Passengers and crew members were evacuated to a secure holding area while specialist teams inspected the cabin, cargo hold and checked baggage.

According to the information provided, the alert was reportedly linked to an unverified hijacking rumour and a possible technical glitch. Initial checks reportedly found no physical threat on board.

The incident triggered a major security response at Jaipur airport, highlighting the precautionary measures aviation authorities take whenever a potential hijack threat is reported.
