Assam flood situation improves | Around 7,000 people affected
Guwahati, September 9 (NKTV): As per the latest ASDMA report, eight districts across Assam are still affected by flood with 7,005 people presently prey to flood water.
228 villages are still affected across these eight districts.
The death toll stands at eight as no more casualty has been reported.
Presently, one relief camp is operating in Bijni with 314 inmates in it.
No damage of road, embankment or bridge have been reported in the past 24 hours.
The Brahmaputra and its tributaries continued to recede in most of the affected districts, an official said.
