Woman Critically Injured After Heavy Iron Gate Falls on Her at Lakhimpur V2 Mart

A woman working in the housekeeping department of V2 Mart in Lakhimpur, Assam, has sustained serious injuries after a massive iron gate fell on her. The frightening incident was reportedly captured on CCTV.

The injured woman has been identified as Dipali Saikia, a resident of Chabua village in Lakhimpur. She is currently undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH).

According to the information available, Saikia suffered severe injuries to her back and legs. Three of her ribs have reportedly been fractured, while a fracture in her waist or pelvic region has allegedly left both her legs immobile.

Her condition has been further complicated by reported problems with blood circulation, with swelling affecting her body.

Meanwhile, concerns have been raised over the alleged lack of adequate support from the owners of V2 Mart and the building following the incident. The injured woman’s family is reportedly facing severe financial difficulties in arranging funds for her treatment.
