120 JOB APPLICATIONS, 3 RECORD BOOKS: ASSAM YOUTH TURNS REJECTIONS INTO RECOGNITION
For many young job seekers, repeated applications and failed exams can be discouraging. But for Dipjyoti Kakoti, every setback became another reason to keep trying.
The youth from Khemdoi Kakoti village in Kalugaon, Sivasagar, has earned a place in three record books — Assam Book of Records, National Book of Records and India Book of Records for his remarkable persistence in pursuing government jobs.
Between 2019 and 2021, Dipjyoti applied for as many as 120 government jobs. He appeared for numerous examinations, faced repeated failures and continued his search without giving up.
His persistence eventually paid off. He received appointment letters for three government jobs, later resigned from two of them and eventually joined the job that best suited his choice.
Dipjyoti’s journey is not just about the number of applications he submitted. It is a story of patience, determination and refusing to give up despite repeated setbacks.
His achievement and relentless pursuit have now become an inspiration for many educated youths preparing for competitive examinations and looking for government employment.
