From Coal Resources to Economic Self-Reliance

A significant discussion on the future of coal mining, industrial development and economic self-reliance in Arunachal Pradesh was held today in New Delhi between Shri Ravi Ranjan Chaubey, Chairperson, Nuravi Groups & Additional Secretary, Ministry of Coal, Smt. Rupinder Brar, IAS, & Director, Ministry of coal ( T/NA ) Shri Marapally Venkateshwarlu.

During the interaction, Shri Ravi Ranjan Chaubey expressed his appreciation to the Government of Arunachal Pradesh for its unwavering assistance and cooperation. He also acknowledged the continued support extended by the Department of Mining & Coal in facilitating the development of the sector in the state.

The discussion focused on how Arunachal Pradesh can utilise its coal resources as a catalyst for industrial growth, employment generation and local economic development. The emphasis was on creating an ecosystem where coal mining is complemented by allied industries, infrastructure, skill development and greater opportunities for the local population.

The vision is to make resource rich areas increasingly self-reliant and Atma Nirbhar, ensuring that the economic potential of the state’s natural resources translates into sustainable opportunities for its people.

With continued cooperation between the Government, the Department of Mining & Coal and responsible industry stakeholders, coal and allied industries can play an important role in strengthening the state’s economy and contributing to the larger vision of Viksit Arunachal and Atma Nirbhar Arunachal Pradesh.
