The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) has shortlisted 40 players as probables for the Senior Men’s White-Ball Tournament ahead of the upcoming BCCI Domestic Cricket Season 2026–27.
The list features a mix of experienced campaigners and emerging talents across batting, bowling, all-rounder and wicketkeeping departments. The shortlisted players will form the pool from which Assam’s squad for the upcoming domestic white-ball competitions will be selected.
Among the batters named are Danish Ahmed, Denish Das, Gunjanjyoti Deka, Rituraj Biswas, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Sibsankar Roy, Sumit Kashyap, Bishal Roy and others.
The all-rounders’ group includes Sunil Lachit, Abdul Ajij Kuraishi, Ayushman Malakar, Deepjyoti Saikia, Dibakar Johri, Mrinmoy Dutta, Mukhtar Hussain, Nipan Deka, Doikha Das and Bastab Roy.
The probable list also includes several specialist openers such as Bishal Saha, Jitu Ali, Nibir Deka, Nihar Deka, Pradyun Saikia and Saurav Mousum Dihingia.
In the bowling department, players including Jitumoni Kalita, Amlanjyoti Das, Bhargab Pratim Lahkar and Pranjal Paul have been shortlisted. Ayush Agarwal, Rohit Sen and Sumit Ghadigaonkar are among the wicketkeepers named.
Three players Saahil Jain, Sadek Hussain and Akash Sengupta have been included subject to fitness.
The ACA’s announcement marks the beginning of Assam’s preparations for the new domestic season. The 40 shortlisted players will undergo the necessary selection and fitness assessments, following which the final squad will be announced.
With the 2026–27 BCCI domestic season approaching, Assam will be looking to build a strong and balanced white-ball squad capable of making an impact in the upcoming competitions.
