NDA Leaders Welcome PM Modi’s Decision To Set Up Fast-Track Courts For Paper Leak Cases
Leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Thursday welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to establish fast-track courts for paper leak cases, describing the move as a major step towards protecting students’ interests and ensuring swift justice against those involved in examination-related crimes.
In a post on X, PM Modi said, “Nothing is more important than the welfare and future of our youth! We have decided to set up fast-track courts to ensure swift and stringent punishment for those involved in paper leaks. Have directed the concerned authorities and officials to take all necessary steps in this regard. This continues our series of steps for safeguarding the interests of students. Those who try to harm the future of our youth will not be spared.”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said the decision reflected the Modi government’s unwavering commitment to the welfare and bright future of the country’s youth. Calling the move a milestone, he said the establishment of fast-track courts would ensure speedy trials and strict action against those responsible for paper leaks, adding that those who jeopardise students’ futures would face firm legal consequences.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal also welcomed the decision, describing young people as India’s greatest asset. He said the government was committed to ensuring that students inherit a promising future and have opportunities to realise their aspirations. Fast-track courts, he said, would ensure that those involved in paper leaks are brought to justice swiftly. He also assured students and parents that the government would continue taking decisive action against those attempting to compromise the future of the nation’s youth.
BJP President Nitin Nabin said the government, under PM Modi’s leadership, remains fully committed to protecting the aspirations, hard work and future of students. He said the establishment of fast-track courts would ensure prompt and stringent punishment for those involved in examination paper leaks and warned that those who endanger the future of hardworking students would not be spared under any circumstances.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami described the Prime Minister’s directive as a historic and visionary decision that would safeguard the future of millions of students. He said the initiative would help curb organised crimes such as paper leaks, ensure strict punishment for the guilty, improve transparency and credibility in examinations, and reinforce students’ confidence that their hard work would be protected. CM Dhami also expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister on behalf of the people of Uttarakhand for prioritising students’ interests.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said protecting students’ interests and securing a bright future for the youth remain the government’s foremost priority. She said the decision to establish fast-track courts was a significant step towards ensuring justice for every hardworking student and asserted that the law would act with full force against those who undermine students’ rights through paper leak conspiracies.
BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad also supported the decision, saying the government was committed to securing the future of young people. He said the Prime Minister’s directive demonstrated that commitment and criticised the Opposition for its handling of the issue. Prasad said the government was ready for a comprehensive discussion in Parliament on the matter and accused the Opposition of engaging in irresponsible politics instead of constructive debate.
