3 Dead After Falling into Septic Tank in Goalpara
In a tragic incident, three people died after falling into a septic tank of an under-construction toilet at Goraimari in Goalpara district.
The deceased have been identified as Jochak Rabha (house owner), Krishna Roy, and Dilip Das (both labourers). Jochak Rabha, the owner of the house where the construction was underway, along with two workers, lost their lives in the accident.
Another person, Bajpayee Rabha, who also fell into the tank, is critically injured and undergoing treatment. His condition is reported to be serious.
Local sources suspect that the victims may have died due to suffocation caused by lack of oxygen inside the septic tank.
Police and local administration have reached the spot and initiated an investigation into the incident. Further details are awaited.
