The NDA government in Assam began its third consecutive term today as Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma took oath as Chief Minister for the second time.
The oath was administered by Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya at a grand ceremony held at Khanapara, Guwahati.
Several senior leaders also took oath as Cabinet Ministers in the new government. They include:
- Rameshwar Teli (BJP)
- Atul Bora (AGP)
- Charan Boro (BPF)
- Ajanta Neog (BJP)
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, along with other prominent national and state leaders.
This marks a significant moment as the BJP-led NDA alliance returns to power with a strong mandate for the third successive term in Assam.
