Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma to Take Oath as Chief Minister of Assam Tomorrow
Governor of Assam has formally appointed Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma as the next Chief Minister of the state.
Elaborate preparations are in full swing at Khanapara for the grand swearing-in ceremony, which is scheduled to take place tomorrow at 11:40 AM.
The high-profile event will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President Nitin Nabin, and Chief Ministers of 22 NDA-ruled states.
Several prominent industrialists, including Gautam Adani, Sajjan Jindal, and Noel Tata, are also expected to attend the ceremony.
This will mark Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma’s second consecutive term as Chief Minister of Assam following the BJP-led NDA’s decisive victory in the 2026 Assembly Elections.
