The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) has officially announced a 15-member squad and support staff for the state’s upcoming Senior Men’s Ranji Trophy fixture against Haryana. The match is set to take place at the ACA Stadium in North Guwahati, starting January 22, 2026.
The Squad Composition Wicketkeeper-batter Sumit Ghadigaonkar has been entrusted with the captaincy, leading a side that blends seasoned experience with young talent. The batting department looks robust with the inclusion of veterans like Sib Sankar Roy and Sarupam Purkayastha, alongside consistent performers Rishav Das and Denish Das.
The bowling attack will be spearheaded by the pace-spin combination of Muktar Hussain, Akash Sengupta, and Rahul Singh, supported by the promising Dipjyoti Saikia. Anurag Talukdar joins Ghadigaonkar as the second wicketkeeping option in the squad.
Expert Support Staff To bolster the team’s performance, the ACA has assembled a high-profile support team. Former Delhi coach and Dronacharya Awardee Raj Kumar Sharma will serve as the Team Mentor, while former Indian international Noel David takes the reins as Head Coach.
The technical team also includes Performance Analyst Rajesh Sharma and Throwdown Specialist Vivek Salunkhe to assist the players in their final preparations on the North Guwahati tracks.
