60 Boys and Girls Join GSA Summer Cricket Camp 2026
The Guwahati Sports Association (GSA) Summer Cricket Camp 2026, organised under the aegis of the Assam Cricket Association (ACA), got underway at Judges’ Field in Guwahati on Sunday. The 15-day coaching programme will continue till August 9.
The camp is being conducted under the supervision of former Assam List A cricketer and NCA Level II coach Salil Sinha, along with Chandan Sharma, coach of the Assam Cricket Academy. The programme aims to provide structured training and technical guidance to budding cricketers.
The camp was formally inaugurated by former Assam first-class cricketer and Chairman of the Senior Selection Committee of the Assam Cricket Association, Sumit Ranjan Das. Addressing the young participants, Das highlighted the importance of professional coaching camps in shaping future cricketers. He said that such initiatives help build a strong foundation and play a crucial role in the overall development of aspiring players.
A total of 60 boys and girls have enrolled in this year’s summer camp. During the next 15 days, the participants will undergo intensive coaching sessions focusing on batting, bowling, fielding, fitness, and the fundamentals of the game under experienced coaches.
The coaching camp will conclude on August 9, 2026, with the organisers expecting it to contribute significantly to the development of grassroots cricket in Assam.
