Guwahati, August 29 (NKTV): Assam on Saturday recorded 586 new positive cases of Covid-19, taking the total caseload to 5,88,025.
Assam presently has 6,087 active cases.
Nine deaths were reported across the state, while 675 people were discharged.
Of the new cases, Kamrup Metro reported the highest at 123 followed by Golaghat (71), Barpeta (36) and Jorhat (36).
Total recoveries of the state have reached 5,74,955 with a recovery rate of 97.78 per cent.
