Guwahati; January 25, 2024: After a massive success of the last three editions, the landmark trade show North-East Foodtech-2024 is back again in Guwahati, Assam. The 4th edition of North East Foodtech, was inaugurated by Dr. Sanjive Narain, Chairman, Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) – Northeast Region in august presence of Debojit Borah, President, Tour Operator Association of Assam; Mriganka Hazarika, President, Hotel & Restaurant Association of Assam; Chef Atul Lahkar, President, All Assam Restaurant Association and Zakir Hossain, Chief Convener, North-East Foodtech-2024 at Maniram Dewan Trade Centre today.
The four-day exhibition that starts today will end on January 28, 2024. India’s one of the oldest exhibition companies, Kolkata Foodtech in collaboration with Hotel & Restaurant Association of Assam and All Assam Restaurant Association is organizing this flagship exposition.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sanjive Narain, Chairman, Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) – Northeast Region stressed on the importance of having a premier B2B exhibition in the region and congratulated the organizers for setting up such a learning and sharing platform for the people involved in the bakery, hotel and food technology in the northeast. “North East Foodtech, probably is the best thing that has happened for the hotel industry and the budding entrepreneurs of the state in recent days. It will establish a direct contact between the manufacturers and the end users in the hospitality and food processing sector. Hotel & Restaurant Association feels proud to be associated with this initiative”, said Dr. Sanjive Narain.
Some 90 (Ninety) reputed companies from all over India will showcase their latest technology/ products in this trade networking event. This kind of business exhibition will promote Assam as a right destination for investment in the food industry. From the last three editions, a good number of national companies have started their operation and some have enhanced their trade activities in the state. The fourth edition promises a sizable investment, business collaboration, tie-up and start -up business.
The exhibiting companies will display the product range starting from food making modern machineries, packaging technology, food safety and hygiene packaging materials, bakery & confectionery equipment, food and beverage processing equipment, food display system, commercial refrigeration & kitchen equipment, cold room, food additives, Ingredients, flavour & fat, F&B display equipment, food industry IT solution, Bakery & Hospitality industry accessories and many more.
In the North-East there are a huge number of small & unorganized bakeries. The organizer of the event has come up with an innovation effort for them to uplift. One day Bakery conclave has been slated on 27th January -2024, Saturday at the venue. Bakery consultants from all over India will update them about the idea of running a bakery business in current days. Some home-bakers and small bakeries in the region will get free consultancy from the experts at conclave.
“Since major food industry entrepreneur of North-East can find it difficult to visit food exhibition in other cities of India, North-East Foodtech is a forum where they can get the benefit of tie-up with national player, enhance trade network, exchange ideas, and business deal etc.” said Zakir Hossain, Chief Convener of Northeast Foodtech.
More than 5000 business visitors from the region are expected to turn up during the four-day exhibition.
