Three women journalists have alleged sexual harassment and misconduct by Delhi Police personnel during a protest at Jantar Mantar on Saturday. One journalist accused an ACP of touching her inappropriately and pushing her while she was recording the police action.

The journalists reportedly approached a police station to file complaints, with allegations that the cases were not registered immediately. The Delhi Police later said the complaints had been transferred to the Crime Branch for a “fair and impartial enquiry.”
The Press Council of India expressed “shock and dismay” over the alleged treatment of journalists and urged the Delhi Police to ensure media persons can work without fear or aggression.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also demanded answers from Union Home Minister Amit Shah, alleging misconduct with women protesters and journalists during the protest.
